Troy-Raymond E. McCabe, 57. The gentlest giant of a man passed unexpectedly on October 9, 2023.

Ray was a graduate of Averill Park High School; class of 1984 and he pursued a career in the culinary arts. He has been a chef for many years and most recently at Lanie’s Café in Loudonville.

Raymond was predeceased by his Beloved Mother Dorothy L. Litherland, father Vincent J. McCabe and step father John T. Litherland.

He is survived by his adoring sister Patricia A. Christian (Bobb), his nephew Sean T. Landrigan, his Goddaughter Stephanie C. Langlais, his aunt Alicia L. Nelson and many, many cherished cousins, as well as his kitty cat Sonny Boy.  Ray was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but his family was his world.

He was best known for his loud voice and bigger heart; he brought fun and laughter to everyone he touched.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday October 13, 2023 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy.
