Richard Lanoue

Brunswick-Richard Archie Lanoue passed away Thursday December 8, 2016 at the Evergreen Commons Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Adams, MA. he was the son of Philip Lanoue and Blanche Trottier Lanoue and the loving husband of 49 years to Joyce Harbour Lanoue.

Scooby, as he was known when he served in the National Guard for over 31 years, was First Sergeant of Company C 210thArmored Division.

At work they called him Archie. He worked for General Electric in Waterford for 36 years.

In addition to his loving wife Joyce, he is survived by his children Richard J. Lanoue (Michelle) of Wynantskill, Laura J. Lanoue of Brunswick and Paula M. Lanoue of Brunswick, his cherished grandchildren Shauna E. Lanoue and Brady J. Lanoue of Wynantskill, his siblings Janice A. Harrington of Stillwater and Owen F. Lanoue of Florida, his sister in law Kay Lanoue of Hoosick Falls and brother in law Stephen Spickler of Mechanicville. Archie is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and his faithful K-9 companion Stella Blue.

Archie was predeceased by his mother, his father, his brother Philip N. Lanoue II, his sister Judith A. Spickler and brother in law John Harrington.

Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday December 12, 2016 at the Transfiguration Parish 50 Hillview Drive, Troy. Burial with military honors will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday December 11, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.  The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Commons for their care and compassion.
