Rocco Sorriento

Rocco Sorriento, 91 passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Cervinara, Avellino, Italy on January 7, 1926, he was the son of the late Francesco Sorriento and Luigia Battuello Sorriento and beloved husband of 62 years to Maria E. (Moscatiello) Sorriento.

In addition to his wife, Maria, Rocco is survived by his three sons,  Frank “Cheech” Sorriento (Louisa) of Brunswick, Carlo Sorriento of Troy, and John Sorriento of Troy, his daughter, Luigia “Gina” McBain (Michael) of Troy, his 9 grandchildren, Nina Mae Rysdorph (Jack), Michael McBain II, Carley Sorriento, Carlo “Luccio” Sorriento, Rocco Sorriento, Amanda McBain, Sylvia Sorriento, Brianna Sorriento, and Maria “Sisi” Sorriento. Also survived by his 3 brothers Tony Sorriento of Italy, Joseph Sorriento of Mechanicville, and Carlo Sorriento of North Greenbush, and his 2 sisters Gemma Pezulich of Troy, and Marie Wickware of North Greenbush.

Rocco is predeceased by his brother John Sorriento.

Funeral service will be held 9:30 am on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Anthony of Padua Shrine Church,  State Street, Troy.

Entombment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 3rd ave and 109th street, Lansingburgh.
