Sherman Banker, 56, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015. Sherman was born in Troy to the late Frank Banker and Charlotte Burdick Banker.
A graduate of Troy High School, he owned and operated The Saloon bar on Ferry Street for many years and also worked in the printing business for Brown's Printing and numerous printing companies in the area.
He is survived by his children, Sherman Banker (Katelyn), Adam Banker and Meagan Banker all of Troy, his grandchildren, Ayden Banker and Amelia Banker, his step father, John Cichacki, his brothers, Thomas Banker of West Sand Lake and Hudson Banker of Troy.
He was predeceased by his mother, father and brothers, Sammy Phillips, Dennis Banker and Glen Phillips.
Family and friends may call on Friday, August 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Cremation will take place at Gardner Earl Crematory in Oakwood Cemetery.
