Stephen J. Maier

Stephen J. Maier, 65, of Lansingburgh, passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2023 after a brief illness. Son of the late Andy and Helen Maier, he is survived by his brother, the Hon. Christopher T. Maier (Hon. Elizabeth M. Walsh) of Troy, his daughter, Kristen Maier and his nephews Thomas and Eric Maier.

Steve was raised in Lansingburgh and resided there for much of his life.

Steve was engaged in the building trades and was a skilled craftsman like his father. He was a former member of Germania Hall and a long time, proud and active member of the Sons of the Veterans of Lansingburgh. Steve enjoyed NASCAR racing and the Giants. He had a passion for music and was a talented musician who played the guitar, piano, and accordion. Steve particularly enjoyed getting together with his many friends and he will be missed. Family and friends are invited and may call from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Monday June 19, 2023 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
