Steven P. Rocque, Sr died on February 25, 2021 at his home. Born on October 22, 1952 in Troy, he was the son of the late Leo and Elizabeth (Cody) Rocque. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his family. Steven was educated at St. Paul the Apostle and Catholic Central High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army from 1970 to 1980. Steve retired as the Protocol Officer from the Watervliet Arsenal after 35 years of service to the Department of the Army. He was an avid New York Giants fan.
Steven is survived by his devoted wife Yong Cha (Cho) Rocque, his children Kim (Daniel) Carey and Steven (Jen) Rocque, Jr. Pop Pop to Brandon Pryor, Alexander Pryor, Amber Carey, Emily Pryor, Mackenzie Rocque, Steven Rocque III, Jaxson Rocque and Jameson Rocque, his sister Edyth Soklaski, and the late Leo Rocque Jr, his nephews Paul (Jen) Nichols and Jeff (Christie) Nichols, his sister in law Chaeim (Victor) Cerny. Steve was known for his motto “Do you know who I am”
Family and friends are invited to the Saratoga National Cemetery 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 10:00 am for a prayer service and military honors. The family will be leaving the funeral home at 9:00 am with a Patriot Guard escort. Please visit www.mcloughlinmason.com.
