Susan Demers

Susan Christopher Demers, 61, of Oak Tree Lane, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of Janice Gero Christopher and the late John Christopher and wife of Martin Demers.

Raised and educated in Troy, Susan was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School, class of 1971 and graduated from Hudson Valley Community College, class of 1973 with an associate's degree in Radiologic Technology.

Susan worked for Image Care in Latham as an CAT Scan technician.

She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, and they were a source of deep joy to her. She enjoyed her friendships with the Buttafuoco Sisters.

Survivors in addition to her mother, Janice Christopher of Troy and husband Martin of Brunswick, include her two daughters, Ashley (Mark) Spallone of East Berne and Brooke Demers of Brunswick, her granddaughters, Gracie Sunshine Spallone and Natalie Spallone (who is due next week), her sister Ellen (Warren) Adams of Peru, NY and brother Jack Christopher of Troy, also survived by several nieces and nephews. Susan was predeceased by her brother Paul Christopher.

The family would like to thank family, friends, New York Oncology and the staff at Samaritan Hospital for all their care and support.

Friends may call Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with service to follow at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial of cremated remains will follow at St. Jean's Cemetery.
