Theresa Manning

Theresa Long Manning, 86 former Pawling Avenue resident passed away on Monday, June 01, 2015 at the Evergreen Commons Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Long and Elizabeth Neason Long and beloved wife of the late Everett J. Manning, who died November 5, 2013.

Raised and educated in Troy, she attended Troy High School. Theresa was a homemaker most of her life. Theresa was a woman of faith and will be remembered as a gracious, thoughtful, compassionate and generous woman who treasured her family. She infused warmth, wisdom and love into every endeavor, and the world is a much richer place because of her life among us. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

Survivors include her children Theresa Schofield (Evan) of West Sand Lake, Everett Manning, Jr. of Ballston Spa, Michael Manning (Nancy) of Troy, Donald Manning (Melody) of Sebastian, FL, Thomas Manning (James Giblin) of Concord, CA, Lynn Patanian of West Sand Lake, 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, two sisters Mary Genevive of Troy, Anne Trent (Brian) of Blue Point, NY sister in law Dolores Long of Wynantskill and several nieces and nephews.

Theresa was predeceased by her granddaughter Laura E. Manning and her five brothers John, Walter, James, Francis and Edward Long.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Evergreen Commons for their wonderful and compassionate care.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, 310 Spring Avenue, Troy, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
