Thomas E. Raymond, 88 passed away suddenly on Monday December 19, 2016.

Thomas was born in Cohoes, he was the son of Clement Pyska and Ann Raymond and the loving husband of 60 years to Dorothy Miecznikowska (McCosky) Raymond.

Thomas graduated from Mechanicville High School, class of 1946 and attended Siena College. He served in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Division.

He was a longtime real estate professional, he owned Raymond Real Estate in Wynantskill, and he previously worked for Albany International in Menands and was a longshoreman at the Port of Albany,

He served as former secretary for the Town of North Greenbush, he was a parishioner of St. Jude The Apostle Church serving as a usher for many decades, he was a founding member of the Polish Community Center in Albany serving as past president and a life board member, a member of the American Legion in Wynantskill and the Town of North Greenbush Republican Committee.

Thomas was known to everyone in town, he was very outgoing and he loved his family and many friends, he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his wife Dorothy Raymond, he is survived by his children Timothy (Traci) Raymond of Averill Park, Lynne (Robert) Henkiel of Douglasville, Ga, Donald Raymond of Grafton, Randall Raymond of Troy and Susan (Keith) Shultis of Rye, NY, his grandchildren Devin Raymond, Alyssa Raymond, Erica Raymond, Kiersten Raymond, Matthew Raymond, Katie Shultis and Sara Shultis, also survived by many friends.

Funeral mass will be celebrated 12:00 pm on Friday December 23, 2016 at the St. Jude the Apostle Church 43 Brookside Avenue, Wynantskill with Reverend Anthony Ligato officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Troy.

Family and friends may call on Thursday December 22, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Jude the Apostle Church.
