Thomas Roberts

Thomas W. Roberts, 65, of Woodward Ave, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice at Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Utica NY he was the son of the late Selyf Roberts and Mary Elisabeth Schug Roberts and was the loving husband of Jan Hyde Roberts.
Thomas worked for Verizon (formerly NY telephone) as a network engineer, he retired in 2008. Tom was a hardworking man who loved playing golf in his spare time.
In addition to his wife Jan of Troy, he is survived by his daughter, Ryan Marie Roberts of Naples, Fl., his siblings Carol (Dr. I.C) Fernando of Cleveland, Oh, Susan (Elias) Rivera of Pennsylvania, Christine (Joseph) Hannan of Guilderland, and Mary Beth (Dr. Adam) Ainspan of Vienna, VA., his aunts-Norma Schug (Donald-deceased), Beverly Kloster (Francis), his sister in law Bonnie (Chuck) Mattoon of Troy, his brother in law Herbert (Barbara) Hyde of Cohoes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Thomas was predeceased by his brother James Roberts.
The family would like to give special thanks to Bonnie and Chuck Matton for the loving help and care they provided during his long illness. In addition, they would like to thank the Community Hospice and nursing staff at Samaritan Hospital.
