Thomas Spain

Thomas R. Spain, 72, of 25th Street passed away on August 22, 2018 with his loving family by his side at his home.

Born in Troy he was the son of the late Edward Spain and Jessica Wagar Spain, and loving husband to Mary Ann Dinova Spain.

Thomas was a graduate of Troy High School and worked as a Pharmacist Assistant at Samaritan Hospital for 31 years.

In addition to his wife, Mary Ann, Thomas is survived by his daughter, Kathy Marshall (Steven) of Troy, his brother James Spain (Barbara) of Troy, his sisters Kay Barlow (the Late Robert) of Troy an Diane Porter (Harvey) of Ohio, his grandchildren Monique Abbott and Ashley Abbott, and his great granddaughter Amari Tolliver-Fries. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Thomas is predeceased by his siblings Mary Ellen Spain, Caroline Smith, William Spain, Edward Spain and Ellen Gagliardi.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 27, 2018 from 10:30am to 12:00pm at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 3rd Avenue and 109th Street, Lansingburgh. Memorial service will be at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Troy.
