Virginia Carlo

Virginia Carlo, 67 passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Troy, she was the daughter to Robert Dempsey and Hellen Eggers Dempsey. She graduated from Hoosic Valley High School.  Virginia worked as a facility coordinator for the Leonard Hospital and then St. Mary’s Hospital, retiring in 2004.

Virginia loved her family and friends, she enjoyed spending time with them and she will be missed by all.

Virginia is survived by her husband John H. Carlo, Jr of Waterford, her children Kimberly Carlo (Steven) of Daytona Beach, Christopher Carlo (Cinda) of Easton, John Carlo III (Michele) of Troy, Brian Carlo (Erica) of Schaghticoke, Jennifer Carlo (Ramon) of Cohoes, her twenty one grandchildren and one great grandson, her siblings Murray Dempsey of Florida, Veronica Miller (Henry) of Troy and Joanne Evers (John) of Troy, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was predeceased by her mother and father, her daughter Elizabeth Carlo, her son Matthew Carlo, her brothers Robert, Richard and Ivan Dempsey, her sisters Diane Mosso and Carol Demetrose.

Funeral mass 9:00 am on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Augustine’s Church, Troy. Burial to follow St. John Cemetery, Schaghticoke. Calling hours will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday July 28, 2017 at the McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
