Wallace Gambrell Jr

Wallace Gambrell Jr. 72, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, one day before his 73rd birthday.

Wallace Jr. was born in Troy, NY to the late Willie Lee (Bishop) Gambrell and Wallace Gambrell Sr.

Wallace attended the Troy Public School system. Wallace was active in the leadership club; science club and he played basketball at Troy High School. He also attended Oneonta College.

His outside activity was fishing with his friends. Wallace could tell some tall tales about fishing. Most of all Wallace loved reading. You never saw Wallace without a book in his hand or his Kindle.

Wallace worked various jobs over the years. He worked at GMAC and was a construction consultant. He also volunteered at the Salvation Army for many years.

Wallace is survived by his children Bryant Paul Gambrell, Janina Alethea Gambrell, his granddaughter Anisa Williams, his sisters Anita Louise Gambrell and Twila Gambrell Harrison (Kenneth). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
