Troy-Warren H. Truland, 92 passed away on November 25, 2022 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Waterford, he was the son to the late Henry Truland and Myra McCreedy Truland and the loving husband of 68 years to Marion Weckmuller Truland.
Warren served in The United States Army. For over 40 years, he worked for General Electric in Waterford as a Designer and Facilities Manager.
In addition to his wife Marion, he is survived by his children David Truland (Donna) of Troy, Karen Lapierre (Paul) of Troy and Nancy Truland (John Harvey) of Granville, his grandchildren Matthew Lapierre (Scott), Rebecca Truland, Dana Gebo (Nathaniel), Sarah Cuva (Anthony), Emily Fish and Rachel Truland (Iain Bopp), his great grandchildren Mia, Johnny, Logan and Vinny.
Warren was predeceased by his mother, father and sister Jessie Hayner.
Warren was an active participant in the governance of the Upstate New York Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America as well as several congregations in the Capital District. He also participated in many local and statewide ecumenical organizations.
