William T. LaRose, Jr., "Bill", 73, of Stoneledge Drive formerly of Third Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home.
Bill was born and raised in Troy; he was the son of the late William T. LaRose, Sr. and M. Elizabeth Dinehart LaRose and the loving husband of 52 years to Marietta "Sue" Hines LaRose.
Bill graduated from St. Augustine's Academy, class of 1956 and Catholic Central High School, class of 1960. He served in the National Guard from 1961 to 1967.
A supervisor extraordinaire, he was a proud "Poppa" to all of his grandchildren; he enjoyed visiting construction sites and chasing fires and was an avid NY Yankee fan.
He was a communicant of St. Augustine's Parish in Lansingburgh, a past president and 30 year board member of the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club.
Bill was the owner and president of W.T. LaRose & Associates in Cohoes and Larco Properties in Cohoes, after his retirement he worked for Folmbee's Transportation in Waterford.
In addition to his wife, Marietta "Sue" LaRose, he is survived by his loving daughters, Joanne M. LaRose Vadney (Daniel) of Brunswick, Janice M. LaRose Keary (Martin III) of Troy and Jennifer A. LaRose Doyle (John F. III) of Averill Park, his cherished grandchildren, Adrian Vadney, Evan Vadney, Zoe Vadney, Patrick Keary, Kathryn Keary, Anna Doyle and Emma Doyle and his brother, Gary P. LaRose of Glens Falls.
Bill was predeceased by his mother, M. Elizabeth, his father, William and brother, Stephen B. LaRose.
Family and friends are invited to attend the mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 9:00 am in St Augustine's Church, 115th Street and 4th Avenue, Lansingburgh. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Troy.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, corner of 109th Street and Third Avenue, Lansingburgh.
