Barbara Ann “Babsie” Feyl
Everyone called her ”Babsie”… I called her Mom…
Barbara Ann Feyl, 84, a lifetime Lansingburgh resident
transitioned peacefully on April 13th in her original family
home after a valiant 8 year fragile health journey. Her
ascension began on Good Friday as she navigated to the pearly
gates shortly after her favorite religious holiday. Babs is finally
at peace with her Beloved grandson Nicky and son Michael
Everything we call a trial,
a sorrow, or a duty;
Believe me, that Angel’s hand is there.
--Fra Giovanni
Babsie was legendary. She was a generous, classy lady and
notable pillar in her community. A stanch Catholic. She retired
from NYS Tax and Finance for whom she worked for 40 years.
She traveled extensively to the Jersey Shore, one of her favorite
spots. She traveled to Lourdes, France with her grandson and
her daughter during his 5 year battle with cancer. She was a
dedicated grandmother. She had unbound energy and a zest
for life. She was always on the go to visit with family and
friends at the drop of a dime. She enjoyed music, playing the
piano, and loved dancing, she was full of life.
Babsie always extended herself, going the extra mile for
everyone. Deeply faithful and active in the life of her church as
she dedicated her final years expeditiously serving her church
above and beyond. She was certainly her own exceptional and
sassy personality. Anyone who was a part of her life journey
was blessed to be in the presence of my mother.

We are humbled and thankful to everyone who ‘positively
supported’ our journey. Her last months were abundantly
peaceful at home surrounded by the most genuine,
compassionate group of loving health care and hospice heros.
We celebrate a life well-lived.
She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. She is survived by
her Beloved daughter Michele and son-in-law Renzo,
grandaughter Bianca and three great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held
on June 20 th or August 29 th depending on the current pandemic
state orders.
“I was honored to share life together with such an inimitable
ambiance of memories.
I am beyond thankful to spend the last several years as her
caregiver and protector.”
Her Life Was Worth Every Moment Of My Time – Michele Bell
