It is with great sorrow to announce the passing of Constance Case Ligato on December 29th, 2020 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband Dominick Ligato. Connie owned the popular restaurant Connie’s Coffee Break in downtown Troy for more than 25 years. Bethany House in Troy held a special place in her heart. She invited them to the restaurant for several holiday dinners. After her retirement she went to Bethany and cooked lunch for the clients.
Connie was one of the most faith filled woman and shared that faith with her family and everyone she met. For many years she hosted a weekly Bible study in her home which brought many people together who were seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Connie was the beloved matriarch of the family and will be greatly missed. She opened her family home to everyone. Lots of food and a good time. Her home was the place for every holiday, special event and Sundays by the pool. She never went anywhere without bringing her favorite dish. Connie was known for her classy fashion with a beautiful hat matching every outfit. She was the only woman who wore a hat to mass. You could pick her out of a crowd in the same pew every week.
