Dolores (Dee) McCabe Brooks, after a brief illness, Dee passed away with her loving family by her side on August 9, 2021.
Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late George Mack and Mary Von Fricken Mack.
She is survived by her husband, Harold (Hal) Brooks, Sr. to whom she was married for 25 years.
Raised and educated in Troy, she was a graduate of Troy High School and attended Albany Business College.
She was a District Manager for the former Bee Gee Records in Latham.
Dee retired from the NYS Division of Parole in June 1996.
She was predeceased by her first husband Francis P. McCabe, and her sisters Peggy McGrath, Bette Quest and Pat Doyle.
She is survived by her sister Judy Mack of Troy. Dee was second mother to Mary Jo Schneider (Jack), David Brooks, Lawrence Brooks (Karen), Garry Brooks (Ruthann) and Harold J. (Jay) Brooks, Jr., she is also survived by several nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, two God-sent grandchildren, Skylar Austin Rutolo and Michael Beckerman.
A funeral mass will be held Friday August 13, 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dee’s family before funeral mass from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at church. Burial will follow mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Troy.
