In the early morning hours of May 3rd 2021, Lois, our loving mother, grandmother and GiGi, entered into heaven at the age of 93 to be reunited with her beloved husband, Bill. She was born in Troy on Feb 19, 1928 to the late Henry and Jennie (Phoenix) Claydon. Lois graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1946, where she met the love of her life Bill Edmiston. Upon graduation, she worked at Union Fern in the fine china department. After Bill returned from WWII, they were married on June 19, 1949. In 1955, they settled in Speigletown and she became a homemaker, her home was her pride and joy. Many years ago, she lost her sight, but still continued to decorate and create seasonal personalized touches to the homestead.
Lois had a beautiful singing voice and she passed on her love for music to her children and grandchildren. As an enthusiast of international space travel, we expect in her future life to see Lois as an intergalactic space commander and explorer extraordinaire.
Every morning her day began by listening to her favorite Bible studies program. Previously she attended a weekly Bible study with her friends. Those that loved her knew there is a special place in heaven for her with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Bauchiero, son Robert Edmiston and her loving son-in-law John Bauchiero, and she was the cherished grandmother of Robert (Rachel) Bauchiero of Troy and Sandra (Christopher) DeNoia of Jacksonville, FL. Also, survived and loved by three great-grandchildren, Grayson and Carter DeNoia, and Gioanna Bauchiero, and two nieces and one nephew.
Masks, social distancing and occupancy limitations will be observed. Calling hours will be from 10am to 12pm on Friday, May 7th. Following with a grave side memorial service beginning at 12:30pm at Oakwood Cemetery, 114th Street entrance, Troy, NY.
